Two-component water-based skim coat specifically for treating fresh concrete surfaces (green concrete) or surfaces with rising damp to block infiltration and achieve a finished coating. Also available in TIXO version for vertical applications.
Description
Q-RASANTE is a three-component water-based product consisting of: • Component A: mixture of liquid epoxy prepolymers. • Component B: Copolymerization amine. - Component C: special charges. Mixing the components together with a mechanical stirrer at low speed produces a compound that can be easily applied by trowel, which, after curing, gives rise to a very hard, smooth or rough coating (depending on the method of application), particularly suitable as a base coat for horizontal surfaces to be finished with subsequent resin coatings. The Q-RASANTE TIXO version is specifically for vertical applications. Q-RASANTE possesses excellent adhesion to the substrate and very high compressive strength.
Field of application
- Q-RASANTE is designed to be used on a wide range of surfaces, wet or dry, even in the presence of counterthrust water.
- Q-RASANTE is therefore recommended as a preparation layer for subsequent applications of resin or traditional coatings:
- - floors in private homes, stores, offices, etc;
- - Industrial floors of all kinds;
- - Waterproof coatings for bathtubs and swimming pools;
- - coatings on concrete placed below the water table (tunnels, underground garages, etc.).
- Suitable media for the application of Q-RASANTE:
- - New concrete cast by 8 to 24 hours (green concrete);
- - New or old dry concrete where counterthrust water is expected, indoors and outdoors;
- - Sand and cement screeds made on site or pre-packaged and very wet cement-based self-levelling screeds;
- - Natural stone floors to be covered, with rising damp phenomena;
- - Tile floors of all types with a wet subfloor.
