Rust converter for the antioxidant treatment of exposed irons and for the protection of all ferrous surfaces. Can be overpainted with any type of paint, water or solvent.
Description
RED OX is a rust to acid aqueous emulsion converter based on special organic compounds that react with red iron oxide (rust) converting it into a more stable form that stops further oxidation of the metal. The formulation is specially designed to react chemically with rust and give rise to a dark-colored protective film that protects the underlying metal by blocking further corrosion. RED OX is resistant to the action of oxygen and sunlight (UV and IR), therefore the effectiveness of the conversion is stable over time even outdoors and visually verifiable. The effectiveness and durability of treatments made with RED OX are far superior to those of normal converters based on tannic acid.
Field of application
- RED OX is used as a rust converter on:
- • iron surfaces or structures rusted before painting;
- • iron surfaces or structures that have already been painted with partial rusting, before the restoration of the finishing paint;
- • metal structures for masonry reinforcement before the application of restoration products.
