Description

CONSOLID DRY is a solvent-based liquid single-component consolidating agent that penetrates deeply into the support. CONSOLID DRY is formulated with partially hydrolysed polyethyl silicates (including TEOS) that polymerise by reacting with the atmospheric humidity (moisture-hardening). CONSOLID DRY when applied to natural stone or concrete structures (in several consecutive coats wet-on-wet), penetrates deeplyinto the pores (capillaries) and reacts chemically, changing into silica gel. The silica gel produced in this way consolidates the material, acting as a binder.

Field of application

  • CONSOLID DRY is used as an impregnating agent to consolidate any type of absorbent building material with medium/high porosity, for example:
  • • Natural stones.
  • • Concrete.
  • • Reconstituted stones.
  • CONSOLID DRY has been specially designed for the treatment of artistic assets against degradation caused by time and atmospheric agents.
