TERRACES AND BALCONIES

The waterproofing of a terrace and a balcony is based on two walk-over systems, specially designed and developed to the highest degree of safety and liveability in these structures and in those below them.
By choosing a BETONGUAINA system, it will be possible to make breathable, waterproof layers, applicable in any weather conditions and any level of moisture content in the support; designed to be left exposed and for finishing with “direct bonding of the tiles”.
By choosing the Easy Last 901 system, a super-elastic layer will be created which can be applied without any primer on many substrates, and will provide an ideal solution due to its visually-appealing finishes, high solar reflectance and the AQUALAMINE multilayer, sintered- ceramic finish system.

THE BETONGUAINA family of waterproofing systems are simple to apply and have exceptional technical characteristics. The Betonguaina system can be completed with:

  • A coloured resin coating BETON COLOR
  • The laying of tiles with BETON H1
  • With the AQUALAMINE outdoor flooring system with sintered-ceramic particles
  • With the SRI NORTIG 15 BIANCO High Solar Reflectance cycle

NORPHEN FONDO IGRO is a single- component solvent primer for treating polished and sanded cement surfaces: it eliminates the dust typical of such surfaces in preparation for the application of BETONSEAL MS 2.0.

EASY LAST-901 is a white, mono- component system, applicable on any substrate and capable of creating perfectly smooth, self-levelling layers. It can be left as an exposed walk-over surface or finished with:

  • EASY LAST COAT coloured cycles
  • NORTIG 15 ecological finishes to control Heat Island effect
  • the AQUALAMINE composite system of resin flooring for outdoors.

MONO-COMPONENT SELF-LEVELLING WATERPROOFING PRODUCT – WHITE

EASY LAST 901 is a liquid elastomer, mono- component, white self-levelling membrane, with SRI 93 solar reflectance (according to ASTM E 1980), for the waterproof and walk- over coating of flat roofs, terraces, balconies, and any other type of surface (bituminous membranes, PVC sheets etc.).
It can be finished with EASY LAST COAT or with NORTIG 15 to provide additional resistance or to change the colour.
This is the waterproofing part (and in this case it is strengthened with reinforcement) in coating systems with AQUALAMINE.

You will choose solvent-based systems such as BETON COLOR or EASY LAST COAT if you want to give the terrace an outstanding finish with colours that blend perfectly with your environment and your home, and also if you want to have a non-slip finish that makes it liveable even in adverse weather conditions.
Conversely, you will choose a finish in NORTIG 15, light in colour, for a cycle which guarantees perfect waterproofing, but also respect for the environment and the reflection of solar rays to counteract the URBAN HEAT ISLAND effect.

BETON COLOR is a bi-component elastomer finish that is water-resistant, UV resistant and suitable for walking on. It is specifically formulated to create monochrome colour finishes on terraces waterproofed with the BETONGUAINA and BETONGUAINA.S systems. High elastoplasticity to adapt to the elastic movement of the waterproofing product.
Long-life and low maintenance costs.

It is a bi-component elastomeric coating for colouring EASY LAST 901, which also increases the surface resistance of the substrate: in fact it makes the waterproof layer insensitive to ageing caused by UV rays and water stagnation and to the loads created by chairs and tables.

NORTIG 15
WATERPROOFING PRODUCT FOR MANUAL APPLICATION

Liquid elastomeric, mono-component, water-based membrane available in various catalogue colours, but customisable on demand.
In addition to guaranteeing perfect waterproofing, it offers the reflection of solar rays to counteract the URBAN HEAT ISLAND effect (with SRI 85 solar reflectance on white according to ASTM E 1980).

DIRECT BONDING OF THE TILES is an integrated system, developed by Nord Resine and presented to the SAIE October 1993 which totally avoids any degradation of the screed under the tiles in the simplest way possible: By eliminating it.
It can be performed on a BETONGUAINA and also on simpler systems with NORTIG and NORTIG 15.
The waterproofing layer must always contain NYCON reinforcement and the coating will be compulsorily implemented with BETON H1.

MONO-COMPONENT SILICON SEALANT, CATEGORY F-EXT-INT (EN15651-1)

NORDSIL AC is a mono-component silicon sealant formulated with pure polymers (not modified with solvents or plasticisers). Available in a range of colours identical to COLORFILL FLEX 0-8 for high performance both mechanically and aesthetically.
Will not get dirty and remains functional for a long time.

TILE GROUTING

MONO-COMPONENT CEMENT GROUTING, CATEGORY CG2WA

COLORFILL FLEX 0-8 is a mono-component cement grouting, formulated with acid- resistant pigments to ensure longer-lasting performance against acid rain.
Its deformability allows for the expansion of tiles decreasing any “pointings” that cause the rupture of grouting.

MONO-COMPONENT BINDER, CATEGORY C2TE S2

BETON H1 is a mono-component binder modified with acrylic resins to give the cured binder a higher level of resistance to submersion in water and atmospheric aggression.
HIGHLY DEFORMABLE to allow for the dilation of tiles in the event of temperature changes, without “pointing” or breaking the grouting.

AQUALAMINE is the NORD RESINE system for creating a visible waterproof layer with finishes that can replace tiles.
The product creates a strong and continuous surface with exceptional technical properties: waterproof and breathable, anti-slip, resistant to UV rays and non-yellowing.
AQUALAMINE is available in 15 standard finishes and, for large projects, with customised colours.
