The areas dedicated to personal wellness are becoming increasingly important in residential building designs and the customer and executor of the works do not always have sufficient knowledge about the problem. Waterproofing and finishing a swimming pool or wellness area requires different measures.
Nord Resine has two waterproofing options:
1. with permanent water: intended for making tanks and swimming pools safe, when there are living areas underneath
2. with non-permanent water: intended for wellness areas, moist areas and small or medium-sized underground swimming pools.
The two cycles need to be completed with the correct implementation of the covering using mosaics or ceramic tiles and with its finish.
A swimming pool located above housing, residential, hospitality or commercial premises needs to be built ensuring total safety conditions both to guarantee the use of the premises and to avoid all those major maintenance operations which would lead to considerable economic harm for the structure.
The cycle adopted by Nord Resine involves the use of PU BASE, a system based on a liquid membrane with exceptional characteristics in terms of waterproofing, elasticity, tear resistance and toughness, reinforced with NYCON (a continuous filament fabric), and finished with mosaics or tiles laid using high-performance binders (such as BETON H1 and MONOTACK H BOND). The ideal sealing systems are those which are reactive, with an epoxy-resin base and low- yellowing water base, which can be used as it is for mosaics or interspersed with elastomeric joints on tiles.
Nord Resine is able to provide sealants of the same colour as the epoxy grouting, even on customised colours, and matching the coatings.
Elastic bi-component membrane suitable for waterproofing surfaces in permanent contact with non-drinking water.
Properly reinforced with strengthening NYCON 100 fabric and adequately sprinkled with natural “ACTIVATED” 0.4-0.6 quartz sand, it is an exceptional waterproofing system for direct bonding of vitreous mosaic or stoneware using CEMENTITIOUS BINDERS.
Impregnating agent for structural mortars and concretes to be used in one or two coats, on dry or wet substrate, for the pretreatment of the surface before applying PU BASE.
It eliminates the condensates which may form under the waterproof layer due to the presence of porosity and empty spaces in the structure.
Small, underground swimming pools, permanently damp zones and wellness areas may be waterproofed conveniently with a simple system which can even be applied by site staff that are not necessarily highly-skilled and which respects the environment and ecological precepts.
EP LASTIK, reinforced with fibreglass mesh, provides a solid and inexpensive waterproof base for the laying of any ceramic or vitreous coating.
Elastic bi-component mortar for waterproofing substrates in cement screed, sand and cement plaster (wall concrete) as well as concrete before laying tiles and mosaics using cementitious binders (BETON H1 and MONOTACK H BOND). Apply two coats with a reinforcement between them (FIBREGLASS MESH 160). Suitable for treating the inner surfaces of tanks and swimming pools prior tothe subsequent laying of stoneware coverings, with sealing of the grouting using EPOSEAL W.

EPOSEAL W TERGE is a mild detergent to facilitate cleaning of the surfaces during the application of EPOSEAL W when sealing coverings of tiles and mosaics.
In the EXTRA version, the product can eliminate hardened resin halos even several months after application.

"EPOSEAL W is a vertical non-slip binder with high performance (R2T), equipped with high adhesion on the substrates (cross-cut adhesion after ageing and thermal shock: 4 MPa) and to the covering materials (mosaics or tiles) due to the presence of specific adhesion promoters in the formulation.
If applied in a first coat with a smooth float trowel with adequate thickness (0.5-0.7 mm), it produces a waterproofing film.
Due to its THIXOTROPIC characteristics, it can be used wet on wet, as a waterproofing product, binder and grouting."
