Creating a waterproof layer beneath the concrete bed requires the use of very special materials which ensure waterproofing as well as resistance to the enormous pressure exerted by the overlying structures and the rapidity of superimposed laying.
A continuous layer of polyurethane rubber with instantaneous cross-linking and application by spraying hot or with slower cross-linking and float trowel or rake application is the safest and most economical method.

In this case, a tenacious, elastic and highly-waterproof layer needs to be created with resistance to permanent immersion in water and the product must be capable of correctly forming a film even with high and irregular thicknesses and will often need to be laid on damp or wet substrates.
