IRONSAFE
Impregnating agent for passivating reinforcement bars
Penetrating (migrating effect) rustproofing passivating protective coating for reinforcement bars, to be brushed onto the concrete surface.
Technical data
Description
IRONSAFE is a colourless liquid in aqueous solution formulated organic anti-oxidising compounds.
When applied to the surface of a concrete structure, IRONSAFE penetrates deeply (through the concrete cover) and reaches the rebars on which it acts as an anode and cathode corrosion inhibitor.
IRONSAFE is able to:
• Penetrate deeply into the concrete.
• Stop the oxidation under way.
• Preventing future corrosion.
• Exert a lasting anti-corrosive action.
IRONSAFE does not alter the appearance of the treated object nor its general physical-chemical behaviour.
IRONSAFE does not contain nitrites.
Field of use
IRONSAFE is specially formulated as a corrosion inhibitor for reinforcements inside concrete.
It is thus highly suitable for:
• For restructuring fronts of roofs and balconies, exposed concrete walls, pillars and beams in civil buildings.
• For the maintenance of shed facades with exposed concrete slabs, before the painting cycle.
• In preventing corrosion of rebars in road infrastructures (bridges, flyovers and, in general, all types of reinforced concrete structures).
