NORPHEN FOOD is used is used to produce waterproof coatings on concrete and metal food storage tanks and reservoirs. For all foods which must undergo the migration tests using the following simulants:

• aqueous solution of acetic acid 3% (weight/volume);
• 10% aqueous solution of ethanol (volume/volume);
• water;
• rectified olive oil;

NORPHEN FOOD is compliant with and certified according to the MD 21/03/73 and subsequent updates. In addition to the overmentioned simulants, NORPHEN FOOD is also suitable for contact with hydroalcoholic solutions at 45% and 90% by volume of ethanol

For (NORPHEN) SW SMALTO water-based epoxy coating a test report, issued by the Swiss laboratory EMPA (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research), confirming its suitability for use as a protective coating for road tunnels, is available (in English and German).
