This publication is designed to be a simple and accessible guide to the complex world of WATERPROOFING PRODUCTS to allow everyone to understand and choose the most appropriate application system for their needs.

Any underground structure, from a foundation wall made of concrete or masonry to cementitious end-products, must be protected from contact with the water present in the subsoil in order to prevent wetting and consequent degradation.
The ideal protection cycle must be safe and easy to apply even by normal building site labourers. Before laying the waterproofing membrane, it is important to proceed with the elimination and grouting of spacers and the rounding (fillet) of the angle between the vertical section and the concrete bed with GROVE RIPRISTINO, an anti-shrinkage Thixotropic Mortar in class R3.

BI-COMPONENT CEMENT-BASED WATERPROOFING PRODUCT

Liquid elastomeric, polymer-cement membrane for dry or damp substrates that can also be used in structures burdened with condensation.
It dries even if immersed in water. Therefore, it is ideal for the waterproofing of recently- cast structures and in the interventions
to be carried out in cold and wet weather conditions.
Excellent for the waterproofing treatment of tanks used to contain drinking water or non-drinking water which is not chemically aggressive.

The waterproofing in negative pressure of an underground space requires two different cycles for walls and floors.
Walls must be effectively treated with an osmotic system based on NORDCEM PRIMER, a hy- dro-alcoholic osmotic primer and NORDCEM, a waterproofing cement with osmotic penetration, with the addition (if required) of NORDCEM LAST.

NORDCEM is a grey osmotic cement for creating waterproof coatings resistant to counter-pressure for foundation walls, cellars, swimming pools, lift pits, drinking water tanks, wells, etc.

BI-COMPONENT OSMOTIC WATERPROOFING PRODUCT

NORDCEM LAST is an elastic, waterproofing and retardant additive, to be optionally added to NORDCEM especially in case of use in very hot and dry spaces.

Liquid primer with a strong osmotic action for application prior to treatment with NORDCEM to increase the waterproofing effect of the final coating.

MORTAR FOR WATERPROOF STRUCTURAL PLASTERS

Fibre-reinforced expanding thixotropic mortar for restoring structural concrete structures, with or without steel reinforcements. Particularly suitable for concrete restoration interventions in waterproofing with positive or negative pressure. Ideal for making waterproof shells between building foundation walls and concrete beds.

The floor must be treated with a multilayer system for wet and green concrete supports made with the laying of the epoxy primer Q-PRIMER and the epoxy, water-based skim coat Q-RASANTE which must be sprinkled with quartz sand to promote adhesion of the subsequent treatments.
The perimeter fillet and the grouting of spacers must be done using NORDGROUTH TIXO – a thixotropic, fibre-reinforced waterproofing R4 mortar.

Water-based bi-component skim coat specifically designed for treating wet cement surfaces (green concrete) or surfaces with rising damp, to block infiltrations and create a finished surface. Also available in the TIXO version for vertical application.

Water-based bi-component primer specifically designed for treating wet cement surfaces (green concrete) or surfaces with rising damp, prior to coating with Q series resins.
